In addition to Kris’ performance focus, Kris enjoys teaching students of all ages. His current students range from ages 8 to 70, and from beginner to advanced. He can teach students on any of the saxophones.

Kris begins his relationship with his students by determining the type of music that the student most enjoys. Using that as a platform, Kris tailors his lessons to explore that interest and the skills needed to perform in the genre. Along the way, Kris encourages his students to explore and develop a wide range of technique for use in all musical styles.

Kris teaches workshops at several private schools in Greater Vancouver. He is also a saxophone instructor through the West Vancouver Community Centre.
